The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing hosted a Kite Festival promoting the eight themes of tourism namely, Heritage, Festive, Scenic, Essence, Thrills, Bliss, Pristine, and Wild, as well as Ceylon tea, Ceylon cinnamon, and Sri Lankan sapphires.
The event was held at the famous Taiyanggong Park, attracting a large number of potential Chinese travellers. Sri Lankan biscuits and Ceylon tea were served, creating a truly local ambiance.
