The Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka conveys its heartiest congratulations to His Excellency Xi Jinping, on his re-election as the President of the People’s Republic of China at the first session of the 14th National People’s Congress held in Beijing.
His Excellency’s third consecutive term as the President of the People’s Republic of China is testimony to the confidence, that the Communist Party of China and the People of China have placed him.
China’s achievements in multifaceted sectors during the last decade under his guidance as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and the President are remarkable. From the accomplishments under the Belt and Road Initiative to China’s amazing progress into the digital era, were realized under his visionary leadership.
While reiterating the great importance Sri Lanka attaches to its warm relations with the People’s Republic of China, it is our sincere wish to work closely in the future also to further consolidate and enhance this relationship and intensify our cooperation in the future for the benefit of our two countries.
