Hon. Madhura Seneviratne, Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education of Sri Lanka, was received today, 20 August 2026, at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing, China by Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Ruvini Munidasa, during his visit to Beijing to participate in the Global Smart Education Conference 2026 (GSE2026) held from 17th to 21st August 2026, co-organized by Beijing Normal University and the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education.
During the visit, the Hon. Deputy Minister discussed with the staff regarding the Embassy’s planned activities to further strengthen the multifaceted cooperation between Sri Lanka and China, with particular emphasis on education, trade, economic cooperation, culture and people-to-people relations. The Hon. Deputy Minister also outlined key areas to be focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the coming months.
