Hon. (Dr.) Jagath Wickramaratne, Speaker of Parliament, participated in the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Forum on Traditional Medicine, held from 16 to 18 September 2026 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, People’s Republic of China. The Hon. Speaker was joined by the Hon. Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni, Deputy Minister of Health, and Ms. Ruvini Munidasa, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing and Mr. Jayalal Marasinghe, Managing Director of the Sri Lanka Ayurveda Drug Corporation during the visit.
